DID YOU KNOW THE IPAD WAS A TOUCHSCREEN?

edited December 2012 in General
I couldnt tell if ya did or not...cuz your effects interfaces all look like eighties radioshack hardware. The new eq sounds pretty good but the gui is an ABSOLUTE TURD. Have you guys seen proQ...? That is the interface a touchscreen likes... I want a touchscreen experience not a iffy try to turn the little knob on a screen approach! Just changing the gui of your eq would make a huge difference!! Im not joking here...if you worked for me you would be lectured and written up, sorry its true.

Who came up with that gui? What was you thinking? Can you not code the alternative?
The x/y pads should be on the keyboard itself...
Have you seen the compressor in samplr....its the way a touchscreen compressor should be.

I also think that if you added autopitchmapping there would be an easier sound design aspect to your app...i still say why are there almost ZERO sound libraries for your sampler...ummm, because its not easy to program...its easy to get lost and its fiddly...the keyboard should be drag and drop to keys....with range brackets...and autopitch. Just sayin.

The keyboard should really do other things to samples as well
Modern sampling? (Pitch,formant,and time)
Granular sampling?

Audio tracks are just way to steppy to set up and deactivate...in fact its probably the most overly steppy audio recording i have ever experienced...sucks every bit of fun out of the process.

A proQ like interface is a good idea MicGee$, I'm surprised no apps have added that! I don't know of any, are there any?

Auria is the only app...that i know of

I just think alot of the clunkiness and timewasting aspect of beatmaker2 is in how the gui and user have to interact. It is my opinion of course...and most of the time nobody here agrees with me lol.

From using other apps in conjunction with bm2 here is where i have hoped bm2 would step it up...

    1. The file system just doesnt organize the user at all...i have projects saved in other projects etc because the whole saving process is just incoherent.

    2. The way impc does the virtual turntable with scratch into the sampler of impc is genius...period...prolly the only good thing about that app in fact.

    3. There is really a limited to zero sound library for beatmaker2 keyboard...because its kinda aweful to program...and when i say kinda aweful i mean really aweful...also there is no real dividing purpose to the keyboard other than its chromatic...woohoo the eighties called and they said the ensoniq asr10 will woop yo ars.

    4. The effects suffer from a few things...they are not deep for shit, you cant save any presets, and the gui is just not innovative ipad or iphone touch screen candy. They are teeny little fiddly knobs thats suck on a touch screen...

    5. The addition of busses with the subtraction of fader throw...? This was not a good trade. Some people will want a detailed mix and after all...we are doing music here.

    6. The reverb is horrendous...

    7. The compressor...not in my top 30

    8. Right now the mixer is not operating correctly...solos, are not properly working at all.

...autopitch would be nice for auto assignment of root key

This app still kicks impcs ass... It also beats nanostudio to death for hiphop...but not so much for any other synth oriented music...nanostudio has eden and thats a great synth
